Injured Puppy Left To Die In The Middle Of A Busy Highway. When A Rescuer Gets Close, His Heart Shatters

Many abandoned dogs face very bleak futures.

Not only are they constantly exposed to the elements, they’re often in poor condition as well.

In addition to being malnourished and typically frightened, they sometimes have injuries that greatly hinder their chances of survival.

And when you toss in a busy highway…well, the outlook really is bleak.

That was the situation surrounding Baby Boy, an adorable puppy that was left to die by the side of a highly trafficked road.

That’s dangerous enough but as it turns out, Baby Boy was stuck in the median between four lanes of speeding cars.

Many drivers didn’t notice him at all but those that did probably wondered, “Why isn’t the dog trying to get across the road to safety?”

It would’ve been a dangerous dash, to be sure, but why sit there and starve to death?

As it turns out, there was a tragic reason why.

A man named Cenk spotted the terrified puppy and pulled over. When he got closer, he noticed the poor thing was in pain.

So Cenk carefully gathered up the injured pup and brought him to an animal clinic, where X-rays revealed two broken legs.

Yes, Baby Boy would’ve definitely died had this kind man not stopped.

The puppy’s story ended up on YouTube courtesy of Viktor Larkhill, who runs an animal rescue in Turkey:

“They reflect what rescue is all about, they show the conditions in which we work here, the risks we take at time but above all, they show the indifference of society towards an issue that shames all of us…”

Well said.

But thankfully, this story has a happy ending, as Baby Boy got the medical care he desperately needed and then, three months later…

He was adopted by a loving family in Germany and has some new canine friends as well.

The moral of the story is to keep an eye out for any animals in need, because they can turn up in the most unexpected places.

And they might be in desperate need of your help!
